Who We Are
Our Vision
We understand something that is often left unsaid. Living with a disability today can be expensive. Families carry therapies, transportation, medical needs, adaptive equipment, and daily supports that most people never see. The costs add up. The sacrifices are real. And many parents quietly put their own needs aside so their adult children can thrive.
As a community, we looked at that reality and decided to respond with love.
This prom is our way of saying that celebration should never depend on what a family can afford. It should never require an adult to ask Mom or Dad for spending money just to feel included. Every person deserves a night where they walk in as an adult among adults. A night where they choose their outfit, sit at a formal table, dance with friends, and experience the joy of belonging without financial pressure attached.
This event is open to every individual living with a disability in our community, no matter where they attend, who they are connected to, or what their financial situation looks like. If you are here, you belong here.
Our organizations came together with one shared commitment: lift the weight off families, even if only for one evening. Create space where independence feels real. Create a memory that says, you are valued, you are seen, and this community stands with you.
This night is about dignity. It is about adulthood. It is about giving our sons and daughters a moment that is fully theirs. Our vision is to model what inclusion looks like when a community comes together, creating experiences where adults with cognitive disabilities feel welcomed, valued, and celebrated.
